GROOVE ESTABLISHMENT RESIDENT AND GUEST DJS
I'm Rich and own,run and promote The Groove Establishment which whilst first established in 1995 has really grown into its own in the last year.Aswell as promoting various nights it has now become an Event and Artist Management company,and even venturing out into sound and PA hire.
Finding myself with more time on my hands in 2004 i went back to my first love of music and together with Mike Parfitt resurected something that began in his dad's shed when we werent even old enough to get into clubs.It now plays at many diverse venues encompassing even more musical styles.
Originally just an extension off our love off nights at the infamous Whitehouse in Newmarket and Hollywoods in Ipswich the first Groove Establishments were held in village halls and country clubs all over the county,pretty soon we were running out of venues that would hold us due to the sheer numbers of people attending and eventually moved to a friday night at the afor mentioned Whitehouse and whilst bigname jocks of the day John Kelly,Vivian Markey and Alex Anderson helped continue the sucess of the nights we both felt a wanning for pastures new.
That was the summer of 1998 and clubland was dying only to be saved later in the year by stardusts music sounds better with you and a certain 'mitsi'.My summers were spent mainly in ibiza and Mike travelling the world with record bag in tow.Whilst many more nights were held at the orginal venue of old 'the limes hotel' it wasnt until we reconvined together at the newly converted Gallery Bistro that things really took off.
From the first nights there in late 2004 it was clear The Groove Establishment was back and this time it was staying.More roadblocked events including the massive NYE party encourged me to find us new venues and Good Fridays were born at Boltz in Norwich.
Soon after The Groove Establishment began playing Clockwork in London,quickly followed again by a new night called Clique@The Mustard Lounge in Norwich.Sets in Ibiza followed that summer and as autumn set in The Groove Establishment took foothold in the city.
Colaberations with The Funk Fundation @Ponana's further enhanced the name as did the new Soulful Sunday night @LAVA.
An even bigger summer began in 2006 with nights in Ibiza aswell as massive nights@Clique and special one off events which saw Bobby and Steve,Filthy Rich,VictoR FL and Soulfuzion encompassing diversity that has become a Groove Establishment night.New residencies at Ponana and various sets at home and abroad from Groove Establishment dj's have further enhanced the Groove Establishment brand
Aswell as Groove nights you can find me playing as Harry Pearce,Milli and Terry Henry at many other nights for various promoters.
